I’m John Drew, the construction adviser behind Build Advocate. I have more than 20 years of hands-on construction experience.

I’ve spent years pricing, planning and delivering building projects and dealing with the practical problems that arise between drawings, quotations and what actually happens on site.

One thing I’ve seen repeatedly is that homeowners are often expected to make major financial decisions without having experienced construction knowledge independently applied from their side.

Build Advocate exists to change that.

We provide independent, practical advice for homeowners who already have architectural plans and/or builders under consideration. Our £999 package reviews plans, builders, pre-construction arrangements, programme and payments in one comprehensive report, with a consultation and agreed support through construction and completion.

Independent advice. No financial stake in the builder, architect, engineer, supplier or contractor you appoint.
