Cancellation and Refund Policy

Build Advocate provides professional construction advisory services rather than physical goods.

If you are a consumer purchasing online, you normally have 14 days from the date of purchase to cancel without giving a reason. To cancel, email hello@buildadvocate.co.uk with your name and order number.

Buying a service, completing the product questions or uploading documents does not by itself ask us to start during the 14-day cancellation period. We review the information after purchase and confirm the accepted scope and essential documents. If the service is unsuitable or a scope cannot be agreed before work starts, we will refund the full service payment to the original payment method.

You may separately and expressly request that we begin work within the 14-day cancellation period. If you do not, we wait until it ends before starting. If you request an early start and then cancel before completion, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to cancellation, provided the required cancellation information was given. If the service is fully performed after your express early-start request and your acknowledgement that you will lose the right to cancel on full performance, that 14-day cancellation right ends.

Any refund due will be made to the original payment method within 14 days of your cancellation request. You can cancel using the email above; you may also use this model notice: “I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for [service], ordered on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].”

After the cancellation period, refunds are considered where the purchased service has not been supplied as agreed or with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
