Commercial service details updated 23 October 2026.

Our only product for new purchases is Homeowner Project Review & Build Support — £999. These terms apply to that service. For direct checkout, complete the required project questions before adding the service to the cart and paying. Send drawings, quotations, contracts and photographs using the document route in your order confirmation. We review the information and confirm suitability, accepted scope, essential documents and service-start arrangements in writing before work begins.

If a payment has been made and the case is outside the advertised service or we cannot agree a suitable scope before work starts, we refund that service payment in full to the original payment method. The initial delivery period begins only after scope acceptance and receipt of essential information, subject to your cancellation rights. We will not start within the 14-day cancellation period unless you expressly request this and acknowledge the effect on your cancellation rights. Otherwise work begins after that period. Existing accepted customer agreements retain their agreed scope.

Homeowner Project Review & Build Support — £999

For one project and one agreed baseline drawing set: a full practical review of the supplied plans, scope, budget assumptions, buildability, building-control information and delivery risks, including changes to take back to your architect or relevant specialist; assessment of up to three builders and their trading history and available evidence; comparison of proposals, scope, exclusions, allowances, programmes, proposed contracts and payment terms; one comprehensive written report covering the plans, builders, pre-construction arrangements, programme and payments; one consultation call; and agreed construction-stage check-ins through completion.

The initial written review is delivered within five working days after scope acceptance and receipt of essential information, subject to your service-start choice. Missing evidence and unanswered questions remain identified as unresolved. You retain the builder-appointment decision.

We agree the included milestone check-ins across your project through completion, linking them to relevant inspection and payment milestones wherever practical. You supply dated progress photos, relevant inspection records, variations and outstanding-work details. We review the supplied evidence and provide questions and next actions. Email us to book a call about an agreed checkpoint or project concern within the package scope; timing and availability are confirmed by arrangement. Remote reviews do not authorise payments or certify workmanship, structural safety or statutory compliance. Matters requiring on-site or specialist checking are identified.

One consultation call is included. The milestone stages, check-in arrangements and reasonable access to advice are confirmed in the accepted scope. Calls are by arrangement within that scope and our availability, with no guaranteed emergency-response service. Immediate danger requires the appropriate emergency service or competent specialist.

Build Advocate is not VAT registered. The displayed service price is the total payable for that service.

Additional work and existing commitments

Material redesign, additional builders, additional checkpoint reviews, site visits, negotiations, dispute correspondence and further investigation are separately scoped and agreed before further paid work begins. We correct our own errors without an additional fee.

Previously agreed customer commitments, follow-up allowances and credits are honoured on their agreed terms. If you have an existing case or agreed credit, contact us with your case reference before purchasing again.

Information and scope limitations

You are responsible for supplying complete and accurate information and for ensuring you have permission to share all submitted documents, photographs and correspondence. Our advice is based on the material supplied and does not replace a physical site survey, structural engineering, architectural, legal, financial or regulated surveying advice. We do not guarantee a builder's performance, quoted costs, programme or project outcome.

Deliverables are prepared for your project and personal use and must not be resold or presented as advice prepared for another project.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits consumer statutory rights. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while consumers retain any mandatory rights that apply where they live. Complaints should be sent to the contact email above.
